End of Year Concerts

Annual performance opportunity for every student

End of Year Concerts

Our end of year concerts are an annual event where every Music Bus student gets to perform what they have been learning throughout the year in front of all their friends and family. It's a wonderful experience for all involved. Search for your location below for dates, venues and session times.

Instead of sending home permission slips this year, we are doing it all online! Simply register each child who will be performing at their end of year concert and be sure to find your child's specific concert venue, date and time below.

Which Students Should attend?

ALL Music Bus students are invited and ENCOURAGED to attend irrespective of the length of time they have been learning. Speak to your teacher if you have any queries on this.

What will my child play?

Your child will play 2 songs. Your Music Bus teacher will assist with the choice and preparation of these.

Preparation for the Concert

During the course of this term your child will be preparing for the Music Bus Concert. You may notice your child being assigned fewer songs from their book. This is because they’re focusing on preparing a couple of pieces to perform confidently on the concert day.

Please encourage your child to practice their concert songs more than usual. Our aim is that your child will be able to play their assigned songs all the way through without pausing or making mistakes.

What Happens on the Day?

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the starting time of your session
  • Please wait quietly outside until the previous group leaves.
  • Make sure your child brings their music books.
  • Dress Code: Children do not wear school uniforms. Feel free to dress in rock star style clothes!
  • Once you are in the hall children may sit with family until they are called on stage.
  • Your child’s teacher will be on stage to assist and encourage.
  • Children come on stage in small groups to make the experience less daunting.
  • Please try to stay until the end of one hour session so that all children have an audience to play for.
  • All performers will receive a small award at the end of the session.

Tickets
While you must register your children who are performing, there are no other tickets. Just arrive with as many family members as you wish to bring on the day. The bigger the fan club the better. We look forward to seeing you there!
